Our BEST – Always

Term 3, Week 3 2021

Kia ora koutou,

This week we have Year 0-4 going to the museum for their inquiry learning and our Year 6 students visiting Howick Intermediate for their open day.  Our rugby team will be travelling to play their games on Friday.  All newsletters and information have already been sent home.  The bus bay will be closed this week as the buses for the trips will be needing the space.

Alongside our workers for our Canopies we now also have workers who are working at the front of our school to provide greater electricity supply to our school, ready for the installation of our six new classrooms in 2022 and our heat pumps in our classes that do not already have them.  At times there will be coned off areas along the footpaths. Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is underway.

Congratulations to the following children who will be receiving their Special Terrific Person Award and Values Bookmarks at school assembly on Friday, starting at 9.10 am.  This week our item will be artwork presented by Room 3 – we welcome you to attend.

Sports Updates…

Girls Football Interschool: Last Thursday saw the beginning of the girls interschool competition. Our girls played two games and had so much fun. Weather conditions were not the best but our girls certainly gave it their Botany Best, showing great sportsmanship and never giving up. We lost to Bucklands Beach Primary in the first game and after a close game in the second against Willowbank came away with a win. We are looking forward to the next round of games in two weeks time.
