Local Environment

Botany Downs School is located in a beautiful part of Auckland, just 30 minutes drive from Auckland International Airport.  It is also only a 30 minute drive or ferry ride from Auckland City Centre and not far from major train stations.  We are very close to Howick Village and Botany Town Centre where you will find a great variety of cafes, restaurants and shops.

In East Auckland, where we are situated, there are many open green spaces with parks and playgrounds for families to enjoy as well as a great range of sporting facilities at nearby Lloyd Elsmore Park.  After school and on the weekend, your child can get involved with a range of sports and hobbies by joining local clubs.  

We are very fortunate to have several stunning beaches just a short distance from Botany Downs School, for example, Howick Beach, Cockle Bay, and Mellons Bay.  These areas are popular destinations for walking, swimming and water activities such as sailing and kayaking.
