Caring for International Learners – The Education Code of Practice
When students come to New Zealand to study as international learners, Botany Downs School has a responsibility to ensure that the students are well informed, safe and properly cared for. In New Zealand, we call this ‘pastoral care’. Students are entitled to be treated fairly, at all ages and at all levels of education. To support this, the New Zealand Government has developed the Education (Pastoral Care of International Learners) Code of Practice. Botany Downs School is a signatory to the Code.

It is important to us that your child is happy at school. Please let us know by discussing any concerns with classroom teachers, our International Director, or the Principal.
