Learning and Fun @ BDS

Year 1: Room 10 has been busy learning new skills in Writing. We are learning where capital letters go, putting finger spaces between our words and putting a full stop at the end of our sentences. We use picture prompts to help us write and our favourite one has been a dog riding a skateboard. We used our imagination to write about where the dog is going on his skateboard.

Alyssa: The dog is riding his skateboard to the skate park after that the dog will go to the ice cream shop.

Hunter: The dog is at the skate park with his friends doing tricks.

Mannat: The dog is riding his skateboard to a pink castle.

Kairav: The dog is riding his skateboard to see Steve from Minecraft.

Lauren: The dog is riding his skateboard to see a unicorn. They are at the skate park.

Odi: The dog is riding on his skateboard. He is going to the park to do some tricks to make his friends laugh and the friends laughed and he is happy doing some tricks.

Andrew: The dog is riding his skateboard. He is going to the city. The dog is going to the ice cream shop. Then the dog is riding to his home to eat his bone.

Vincent: The dog is going to the skate park on the skateboard. He is having fun. He is going up the ramp.

Aliya: The dog is riding his skateboard to the ice cream shop to buy ice cream.

Hannah: The dog is riding his skateboard. He is going to the shop and he is looking at the food.

Andrey: The dog is riding his skateboard to get ice cream.

Riley: I love my dog and I love my dog on the skateboard and I love my dog going on the dog playground. I love my dog playground.

Denis: The dog is at the skate park.

Saane: The dog is riding his skateboard and he is at the park. He is playing at the park.

Aria: The dog is riding the skateboard to Rainbows End to play on the swings and it is so high in the sky.

Blake: The dog is riding the skateboard to the skate park. He will do some tricks.

LIBRARY NEWS

Please Look After Your Books…

Please ensure your children take care of the books they read, and treat them gently. We have too many of our beautiful books being returned with torn pages, scribbles, and broken covers.

While we love that so many of our tamariki are borrowing books and enjoying them, we do also need to make sure the books are treated respectfully, and carefully so that many others can also enjoy them.
