On Wednesday this week our PTA has organised a fundraising event including a mufti day and the opportunity to buy a Jester’s Pie.  Please have a look at our PTA Botany Brief for more details.

Congratulations to the following children who will be receiving their Special Terrific Person Certificates and Values Bookmarks at school assembly on Friday, starting at 9.10 am.  This week our item will be Room 20 NZSL singing – we welcome you to attend.

Somerville Intermediate School 2022 Enrolments

 

Parents/Caregivers of prospective students wishing to enrol for 2022, please note the following:

Our enrolment process for both in zone and out of zone enrolment applications for 2022, will commence at the start of Term 3, Monday 26 July. Our school zone map is also available on our website.

This year all enrolments are to be submitted online. A link to the online enrolment application form will be available on our website, www.somervilleintermediate.school.nz  from 26 July.

  • Enrolment information will be distributed to Year 6 students at Cockle Bay, Shelly Park, Point View, Willowbank, Owairoa and Botany Downs schools, beginning the week of 26 July 2021.
  • Completed in zone enrolment applications, including supporting documentation, are to be submitted by Monday 16 August 2021.
  • Enrolments for out of zone students will close at 4.00 pm on Wednesday 1 September 2021. Late applications cannot go into the ballot.
  • The ballot for out of zone students will be held on Wednesday 8 September 2021, and written notification to all applicants will be emailed and posted by Friday 10 September 2021.

PhotoLife Class & Individual photos 

Class & Individual photos will be taken on Wednesday 23 June. PhotoLife forms will be coming home today for you to order online.  Sibling forms may be obtained from the office.

2021 School Councillors

Congratulations to the following students who have been selected as our 2021 Student  Councillors. The role of a Student Councillor is to give feedback and opinions in relation to school events, issues and process; and to feed-back the views of their classmates. The student council also helps share the students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with Mr Insley (Deputy Principal).

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open during our Book Week, which is coming up in Week 10 of this term! There will be lots of great books available to purchase…

Monday-Thursday morning 8.30-9.00am

Monday-Thursday afternoon 2.30-3.30pm

Wednesday evening until 5.00pm

Thursday evening until 8.00pm
